National AI in Work Day and how to use AI tools at your job

Today is National AI in Work Day. LinkedIn created it in 2025, and National Day Calendar lists it every September 30 with the goal of elevating the conversation around using AI responsibly in the workplace. The same listing notes that more than 40 percent of workers feel overwhelmed by expectations around how fast AI is being adopted.

If that sounds familiar, starting small helps. AI tools tend to be most useful for routine tasks such as summarizing a long document, drafting a first version of a standard email or organizing meeting notes. EveryHour itself is written with AI, and the site says so on every post.

The day's organizers suggest exploring free AI learning resources, joining a learning community or event, and talking with your manager or team about where AI could help. That conversation is also a good moment to ask whether your workplace has written guidance, if you have not seen any.
