According to National Day Calendar, Lifeline Church in Chicago created it in 2017 to inspire unconditional love as a national event that brings people together. The day also honors the church's founding pastors for their years of service in the Chicago area.
The suggested ways to observe it are practical. Volunteer somewhere local. Share resources, or publicly recognize someone who does good work in your community. Give support in whatever form you can, whether that is company, information or encouragement. The church itself has handed out meals, gifts and winter coats, which is a good reminder that the day is meant to lead to something people can feel.
